Ukrainian migrants are most concentrated in the Central Denmark Region (33%) and in the Region of Southern Denmark (28%), while fewest reside in Region Zealand (7%) and the Capital Region of Denmark (15%).
What do we know about Ukrainians in Denmark?
Among non-EEA residents in Denmark, Ukrainians are the 10th largest group. As of January 1st, 2022, 13,363 individuals born in Ukraine were present in the country – around 3.4% of all non-EEA nationals.
Relative to other non-EEA groups, the Ukrainian community is younger and mostly composed of women.

The labour market performance of Ukrainian nationals in Denmark is on average better than other immigrants from non-EEA countries. Ukrainian nationals have a higher employment rate and a lower unemployment rate than other non-EEA nationals.
