About the event

The Asian and Australasian Society of Labour Economics (AASLE) promotes research excellence and cooperation in Labour and Applied Economics across Asia and Australasia. The Third AASLE Conference brings together researchers from around the world and is hosted by the National University of Singapore (NUS), in Singapore from 12-14 December 2019. The Executive Board invites submissions on any topic related to Labour and Applied Economics.

The Keynote Speakers are David Autor (MIT) and Hilary Hoynes (UC Berkeley) and the Invited Speakers Jerome Adda (Bocconi University), Seema Jayachandran (Northwestern University), Basit Zafar (Arizona State University) and Yves Zenou (Monash University).

Submissions for presentation or poster sessions should include an abstract and a full paper. Contributors are invited to submit papers and abstracts by 30 June 2019 at https://www.aasle.org/conference2019

Online format and rules
  • The online seminars are held on Zoom and last 75 minutes; 60 minutes are allocated to the seminar and 15 minutes for discussion
  • The online seminars are held on Zoom and last 60 minutes including discussion.
  • The link to each seminar will appear above prior to the start time. Please email h.ku@ucl.ac.uk si.xu.20@ucl.ac.uk if you have not received the password by the day of the seminar.
  • The moderator will collect audience questions in chat or using the 'raise hand' function, but feel free to interrupt the presenter for short questions or clarifications.
  • Please keep your camera on and your microphone off except when asking questions.
