Francesc Ortega

Francesc Ortega is currently an Assistant Professor at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona, Spain). He is a macroeconomist working on migration. His research focuses on i) the determinants of immigration policy, ii) the economic and political effects of immigration, and iii) the determinants of the size and skill composition of migration flows. So far his research has been centered on the immigration experiences of the US and Spain. Francesc received his PhD in Economics from New York University, in 2004.

Francesc Ortega joined CReAM as an external fellow in April 2007.
